From Tokyo

By train

Take the Joetsu Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Niigata Station and then take a local bus to Niigata Port (approx. 3 hours from Tokyo). Take a car ferry (2.5 hours) or a jetfoil (approx. 60 min) from Niigata Port to Ryotsu Port. From Ryotsu Port, take a local bus (50 min) or take a taxi or use a rental car (35 min) to our hotel.

By car

Drive on the Kan-etsu Expressway from the Nerima IC in Tokyo and enter the Hokuriku Expressway via the Nagaoka JCT. Come off the expressway at the Niigata-nishi IC and go to Niigata Port (approx. 4 hours from Tokyo). Take a car ferry (2.5 hours) or a jetfoil (approx. 1 hour) from Niigata Port to Ryotsu Port. From Ryotsu Port, take a local bus (50 min) or take a taxi or use a rental car (35 min) to our hotel.

From Osaka

By train

Take the JR limited express Thunderbird from Osaka Station to Kanazawa Station. Take the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Kanazawa Station to Joetsumyoko Station. Take a Sado Kisen connection bus at Joetsumyoko Station to Naoetsu Port (approx. 4 hours from Osaka). Take a car ferry from Naoetsu Port to Ogi Port (2 hours and 40 minutes). From Ogi Port, take a local bus (65 min) or take a taxi or use a rental car (60 min) to our hotel.

By car

Drive on the Meishin Expressway from the Suita IC in Osaka and enter the Hokuriku Expressway via the Yoneyama JCT. Come off the expressway at the Joetsu IC and go to Naoetsu Port (approx. 6 hours from Osaka). Take a car ferry from Naoetsu Port to Ogi Port (2 hours and 40 minutes). From Ogi Port, take a local bus (65 min) or take a taxi or use a rental car (60 min) to our hotel.

From Niigata to Sado Island
